Weekend Courses in Local Churches
The CBM Training Team will come to YOUR
town for a Friday evening/Saturday Teacher Development Course.
Topics covered are by arrangement. A follow-up weekend course
is also available.

Empowering & Equipping Level 1
An excellent basic course covering many
key areas of children's ministry, including:
- Catching the Vision for Ministry to Children
- How to Effectively Present the Gospel
- How to Counsel New Christians
- Worship for Kids
- Creating Effective Visual Teaching Resources
- Reaching the Heart of a Child Through Life Changing Teaching
- How To Be An Effective Storyteller
- Fun Ways of Memorizing Scripture
- No Need for a Riot! Have Kids eating out of your hand
- And much more
This course is held at least once a year at the CBM Training
Centre in Auckland, over 8 Monday nights.

Empowering & Equipping Level 2
An intermediate course covering some
important areas not included in Level 1, including:
- The Keys of Discipleship - What children need to know
to mature in Christ
- The art of storytelling - More on this vital subject
- Opening the Book - How to get children to use and effectively
think about the Bible
- Song Leading - Helping your children to enter into God's
presence
- Games - Promoting fun and fellowship thought the use of
suitable children's games
- Age Makes a Difference - Some keys to child development
that will affect your teaching methods for different age
groups.
- Hands-on workshops
This course is held once a year at the CBM Training Centre
in Auckland, over 6 Monday nights.
Prior attendance at a Level 1 Course is a prerequisite.

Empowering & Equipping Level 3
Pastoral Care of Children, including:
- Dealing with death in a family
- Understand why children act dysfunctional
- Recognize Behavioural symptoms
- Reach below the surface issues
- Show where God fits in all this
- Experience the power of personal
prayer with a child
- Help them develop new strategies
to face life issues
- Participations in mock ministry sessions
will help you develop practical skills with specific issues
This course is held once a year at the CBM Training Centre
in Auckland, over 2 Friday evenings and 2 Saturdays.

Ministering to Preschoolers & Babies
- Why We Minister to Pre-Schoolers
- Why we minister to babies and toddlers
- How to Teach Them (including many creative and visual
ideas)

- Suggested Guidelines for Your nursery and preschool ministry
- Practical Activities - Many Examples Given
This course is held once a year (or by special demand) at
the CBM Training Centre in Auckland (or other venues), on
a Saturday.

Full-Time Training Course
This 16 week course is for International and New Zealand students
who have a heart to minister to children and want an in-depth
overview of children's ministry. The course combines lectures
on a wide variety of topics with practical involvement in
children's ministry to enhance presentation skills. Be prepared
for God to work in your own life! Accommodation is arranged
for International students, and some local students.
